I think the most interesting part of that article, for me, was when he was in Africa and talking to the poverty stricken people who want to make it as rappers. I think that reflects a lot on the people who want to be rappers in this country, but it shows that they have it much worse. They want to talk about true feelings and experiences that mean something, not expensive cars and controlling women. In my opinion, a lot of today's American rap isn't good poetry because it's unreal and created simply for show. Like the discussion in class about creating for a specific audience. That's what rap today is doing. It's being made in order to sell albums and people are buing it. And here's this guy in Africa, with no way to make it big, who wants to talk about real things, and his voice goes unheard.

That's a beautiful sentence.
